Hydestile Resident Animals is run by Graham and Lyn Cornick plus staff and volunteers. Known as Hydestile Wildlife Hospital before the change of name in January 2008...
I have known this wildlife rescue centre for many years. When I was working in the Police I attended many accidents that involved deer, foxes, birds and many other badly hurt animals. It was always difficult to know how to help them, particularly when vets were closed and the RSPCA unable to attend. However the wildlife hospital at Hydestile was always there to help.
Graham and Lyn had decided to semi retire but things don't always go quite to plan!! Although their workload has been reduced, Hydestile still remains a busy place caring for the permanent residents accumulated over the years and new patients in an emergency if no one else can help.
They are well known in the community and have never allowed wildlife to suffer. Their house and gardens are devoted to housing these patients both long and short term.
Graham and Lyn are very much dedicated to rescuing wildlife and I decided to support them in their aim to secure the future of this sanctuary. Pictured are just some of the rescued animals resident at the moment.
